To mark the year’s end, Diptyque has put together a small gift box that combines Do Son Eau De Parfum, with its sensual tuberose notes, and the matching hair mist. A diminutive duo of perfumed pleasure – the ideal gift to leave beneath the tree.
To celebrate the holiday season, Diptyque is showcasing the magic of the flame in a unique manner. In the form of a calligram inspired by the poetic definition found in the Encyclopédie des Lumières, “flame” becomes the central motif of a special collection.
As a child, Yves Coueslant, one of Diptyque’s founders, spent his summers in Do Son, in Ha Long Bay. The sea breeze carried the heady and spicy scent of tuberoses. Do Son has the delicateness and persistence of a memory from a childhood in Indochina – A voluptuous memory of flowers. At the Haiphong market, tuberoses are wrapped together with jasmine and ylang-ylang in large canna leaves to be used as offerings. This decadent duo is exciting and nostalgic making it perfect for any white floral lover.
In the Eau de Parfum, the tuberose is more enduring still. Its scent brings to mind the sundown hour, when the white flowers stand out in the darkness of the wooden pagoda…
While the Hair mist is light and delicate, it leaves an invisible yet intensely scented veil of fragrance on the hair. Enriched with nourishing camellia oil, it fortifies, beautifies, and perfumes the hair, bringing out the freshness of the tuberoses in Do Son.
