Cool yet playful, this fragrance apes the insouciant, ‘come what may’ approach to life adopted by the Bright Young Things of London’s roaring twenties. Androgynous and enigmatic, Juniper Sling is as crisp as it is irresistible. Cinnamon raises the temperature to recreate that slow, comforting sensation of warmth a first sip of cocktail affords. Orange is a zesty, cool rejoinder to cinnamon, a tart, biting refreshment that leavens up the toothsome, caramel apple acidity of a fine brandy. Angelica is as fresh as almond blossoms yet also slightly powdery, replicating the floating sense of refreshment we feel after a few more sips. Juniper berry really emerges in all of it’s bittersweet, bracing glory towards the heart of this fragrance, but it’s chilly, pure blue gaze is made merry by the floral spice of cardamom and a humorous crack of leather, as if someone’s brought an old riding crop out to the club for a bit of unorthodox fun.
